CANADA – The Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC) has created four new scholarships to attract black and indigenous students into the Canadian research, analytics and insight industry.
The four scholarships were formed by the CRIC Diversity & Inclusion Committee and will cover the fees for the CAIP Exam Prep Seminar and for writing the CAIP exam, equalling a total value of CAN$1,000.
Applicants must identify as black or indigenous, demonstrate financial need and show an interest in a career in market research.
Lisa Wright, chair at the CRIC Diversity & Inclusion Committee and vice-president, strategy and business development at Canadian Viewpoint, said: “These scholarships represent an important first step to enhancing representation in our industry.
“The CRIC D&I Committee is also working on additional initiatives to enhance diversity both in our industry and in the insights we deliver.”
