One Inch Whale acquires iVisual Services

Europe M&A News

BELGIUM – Market research agency One Inch Whale has acquired iVisual Services and incorporated its colour system into its insights.

The deal will see the two companies become on in terms of consultancy and services, with both having worked together closely for the past few years on projects for clients such as Danone, Bose and Carrefour.

The agreement will combine insights with market research with the scientifically based and patented colour system of iVisual Tech, part of iVisual Services, to help influence subconscious consumer behaviour.

The colour system uses science-based technology to help brands drive consumer behaviour through visual communication and packaging choices.

Wim Hamaekers, co-founder at One Inch Whale, said: “We map unconscious consumer behaviour, and outline how to use the right visual communication and hierarchy to influence behaviour and purchase decisions.

“After four years of exclusive cooperation, it is time for the next step and One Inch Whale is taking over iVisual’s services and experts to serve our current and future clients even better.”

Karine Steculorum, co-founder at iVisual Tech, will be part of One Inch Whale’s management team and will be given responsibility for the division where colour science and market research converge.

Steculorum added: “Colour and related associations play a decisive factor in the consumer decision-making process, but it is severely underestimated by many companies.

“With our methodology and expertise now becoming part of One Inch Whale, we will be able to advise brands even better on the predictable and guiding role of colour in packaging and communications. We are excited about this next step, and that we are now part of one of the most innovative market research companies in the world.”
