SINGAPORE – Research company OnDemandIQ has completed the first wave of its Streamer Sentiment Index (SSI) study in southeast Asia, Japan and Taiwan.
The study, which had 12,000 respondents across the region, gathered insights on the performance of video-on-demand (VOD) and over-the-top (OTT) platforms across the region.
The study evaluates the biggest global, regional and local players, measuring key aspects of user satisfaction and behaviour, including content engagement, brand funnel metrics and content fit and variety.
Other areas of focus include user interface and experience, feature performance, value for money, as well as customer churn and acquisition outlook.
The first wave of the research captures data from the fourth quarter of 2024, with a second wave to start in February 2025.
Anthony Dobson, co-founder at OnDemandIQ, said: “The Streamer Sentiment Index is designed to give industry stakeholders an unparalleled understanding of their audiences by combining traditional metrics with groundbreaking methods like the stated improvement scale.
“These insights will help platforms enhance their offerings, driving both customer satisfaction and business growth.”
