UK— Havas-owned media agency MPG Media Contacts has split its strategy division into two separate teams to focus on communication and commercial strategy.
The communications strategy team will be led by Martyn Stokes, who has moved from his role as head of integrated communications. His team will concentrate on providing insight-driven communications planning across all channels.
Stokes will be supported by new strategy directors Simon Bielby and Eva Powell, formerly of Mindshare and Vizeum respectively. Bielby served as client planning director while Powell held the role of strategy director.
The commercial strategy team will be led by Dan Hagen who has served as managing partner for commercial strategy since early 2009. His division will be tasked with helping advertisers get the best return on their media spend through techniques ranging from cookie-level attribution to full econometric modelling.
MPG Media Contacts managing director Paul Frampton said: “In order to continue delivering brilliant solutions for our clients we needed to refocus our efforts in two key areas: innovation and accountability. By building two strategic units, each with a clear focus but closely connected, we are ideally placed to deliver insight-led, cut-through and measurable campaigns for our clients.”
