US— Market research consulting firm Cambiar has hired the Market Research Executive Board’s Aaron Field as an associate on its training and skills development team, as part of an expansion of its “power skills” training programmes.
The firm is launching four new training programmes designed to help research agencies increase the business impact of their work. Skills that will be covered include the abilities to consult on business strategy, synthesise findings, generate actionable insights, tell compelling stories and negotiate to build profitable long-term relationships.
Field has been part of the development team for the new offerings, alongside a partnership with The Burke Institute, and will be working closely with Ian Lewis, partner and director of the research transformation consulting practice at Cambiar.
Lewis said: “In Cambiar Future of Research studies we have learned that the top training needs and the focus for current training includes consulting skills, storytelling and communicating for impact, insight development, synthesis and influencing. Our suite of programmes reflects what the market needs to drive business impact, which is what researchers must do to deliver value.”
