CANADA— Newspaper and online advertising rep house Canadian Primedia has acquired research and consulting firm Kubas Consultants.
Formed in 1977 by Len Kubas (pictured), Kubas Consulting specialises in serving US and Canadian-based clients in the retailing, media, financial services and allied industries on consumer and business to business issues.
Research is carried out through a dedicated business unit, The Communications Research Centre, while other services the firm offers include planning, analysis and strategic consulting.
Kubas also offers a wide range of services for newspapers in the areas of advertising pricing, rate structures and revenue improvement.
Canadian Primedia president Ron Clark said: “This acquisition diversifies and strengthens Primedia and provides us with some exciting new services to add to our company’s offering. Kubas Consultants has an excellent, well-earned reputation. I have known and admired Len Kubas and his company for many years and am looking forward to working with Len and his team to build the Kubas brand further and to make it an important sister company of Primedia.”
Kubas will remain chairman of Kubas Consultants for “several years” as part of the deal, and the firm plans to open a new office in New York soon to better serve US clients, Clark said.
