UK — Chime Communications’ Insight and Engagement division had a successful 2012 according to the international communications and sports marketing group’s preliminary results.
With new business wins in 2012 including Aviva, O2, Ofqual and HSBC, operating income was 53% up on 2011 at £7.6m.
Operating profit saw a 222% rise in 2012, coming in at £2.2m compared with £0.7m in 2011 and the operating profit margin was 28.8% compared with 13.7% the prior year.
Chime noted that the Insight and Engagement division was now a top 10 UK insight group while digital research agency Watermelon, which was launched in 2012, was already profitable.
It said: “2012 was an extremely successful year for our Insight and Engagement division with strong organic growth and margin levels well above the industry norm.”
