UK— Chime Communications has agreed to acquire pharmaceutical data firm pH Associates for an initial consideration of £6.92m from owners Kate Peperell and Lesley Howell.
PH will become part of Chime’s healthcare division, with Howell and Peperell remaining at the helm of the company. The firm was founded in 1999 and specialises in providing “real world data” to improve patient care. Clients include Abbott, Janssen Cilag, Novartis and Sanofi.
For the year ending 30 September 2011, pH reported revenues of £1.7m and an operating profit of £584,000. The company’s gross assets for the period stood at £966,000.
The cost of the deal could rise to £14m, depending on pH’s future trading performance.
