UK— Cheshire-based agency Ci Research has formed a new retail research team headed by former Iceland and Littlewoods researcher Gareth Hodgson.
Hodgson has been with Ci since early 2008, which marked the start of his second stint with the agency after spells working on the clientside.
He is joined in the retail team by agency director Richard Walker, research executive Katy Leng (a recent addition from Harris Interactive) and systems executive Amy Wilde.
“In the current economic climate, retailers are looking to drive as much value from their suppliers as possible and market research providers are no exception,” said Hodgson.
“The introduction of a dedicated retail function allows us to pool a wealth of both clientside and agencyside retail market research expertise, and ensure that the benefits are passed on to our retail clients.”
Ci underwent a management buyout earlier in the year led by managing director Ian Font, Walker and fellow directors Colin Auton, Andy Wright and Katie Waterhouse.
