GERMANY – Consumer Panel Services GfK (now part of YouGov), is developing a shopper insights platform aimed at FMCG category managers, in partnership with Circana.
SimIT Web will be used by manufacturers and retailers and will offer insights on consumer shopping behaviour, with recommendations to improve brand category performance.
Consumer Panel Services GfK is planning to launch the platform in the third quarter of the year.
The new system is based on Circana’s Liquid Data technology platform, which pulls together datasets including sales, frequent shoppers and media.
The platform will include a chatbot that uses conversational AI to aid the insights gathering process.
GfK completed the sale of its European consumer panel business to YouGov at the beginning of 2024.
