UK— Humayun Rashid, group insight manager for customer experience at Dixons Retail is leaving the firm next week to join mobile phone maker Nokia as senior manager of brand research.

Rashid joined Dixons – owner of PC World, Currys and Dixons – in July 2009 following a brief stint as research manager at financial service group Citi, which in turn came after two years at the Post Office as senior insight manager.
He has also worked agencyside at Ipsos Mori and GfK.
Rashid said: “I am really looking forward to being back in telecoms at an exciting and challenging time for Nokia.”
He begins his new role on 21 February.

Yes, exciting times for Nokia in the wake of Apple's dominance on mobile devices. Very clever the way iPads were promoted in the run up to Christmas 2011.
