UK— DJS Research has doubled its turnover from £450,000 to £910,000 for the 2009/10 financial year.
Managing director Danny Sims said that the agency had made a “significant profit” over the course of the year but would not give an exact figure.
Sims told Research that an increase in work from the public sector and Primary Care Trusts had been the driving forces behind the rise.
The firm won places on five research rosters over the course of the year – Engineering UK, OFWAT, National Archives, Severn Trent Water and UFI Learn Direct – which also contributed to extra work.
Looking ahead, Sims said that the firm is aiming for a turnover of £1.3 million this year.
However, as government spending cuts come into effect next year, Sims said that “public sector work will be harder to get” but increased levels of private sector work would make up for the shortfall.
