US— Kantar Media North America has appointed Richard Fielding to the newly created position of chief client officer. He joins the firm from Starcom MediaVest where he was vice president and director of the global research group.
Before Starcom MediaVest, Fielding was vice president and director of the insights and analytics group at Starcom Worldwide, where he also served as regional research director for Hong Kong. Earlier in his career he was a media consultant for ACNielsen in Indonesia.
Kantar Media North America CEO Terry Kent said: “The fluid nature of media today necessitates constant innovation and product development to service the evolving needs of clients on both the buy and sell side of the industry. Kantar Media’s growth and momentum has been driven by the introduction of such new products and services, as well as through the provision of high quality syndicated products.
“Richard’s exceptional background in developing products in response to specific needs across all media platforms makes him uniquely qualified to help Kantar Media identify new opportunities in the integration of traditional and digital for our clients.”
Fielding will be based in Chicago and report directly to Kent.
