US— Harris Interactive’s president of global solutions George Terhanian has called time on his 13-year career with the online research specialist.
He tendered his resignation earlier this month and is set to leave the company on 29 September. According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Terhanian is “stepping down to pursue another career opportunity”.
Terhanian joined Harris in 1996 and was made president of global internet research in 2002. The following year he became president of Harris Interactive Europe and was responsible for overseeing the growth of the business in to France and Germany through the acquisitions of Novatris and MediaTransfer.
In December 2008 he was named president of global solutions and put in charge of the company’s centres of excellence, the Harris Poll and new product development.
His successor at Harris has yet to be named and Terhanian’s future plans are unknown at this stage.
