UK— Google has beta-launched a new set of reports called Mobile App Analytics, designed to help marketers and developers measure mobile app usage and behaviours.
The reports, which were formally unveiled at the Google I/O conference last week, cover acquisition and user analysis, engagement flow and completed conversions via ad clicks or in-app purchases.
The beta will be gradually opened up to whitelisted users in the coming months. Interested users can complete a beta sign-up form. Google says it expects the reports to be available to all Google Analytics users by the end of the summer.
Product manager JiaJing Wang said on the Google Analytics blog that the app reports “are designed to measure the entire mobile customer journey – from discovery to download to engagement. This enables the creation of app experiences that are more useful and engaging through data-driven decisions at each stage of the app lifecycle.”
