UK— United Drug, a group specialising in providing outsourced services to healthcare manufacturers, has acquired healthcare market research and consulting agency InforMed for £11.4m.
Macclesfield-based InforMed, which employs 80 people and also has a US office, will be integrated into United Drug’s contract sales and marketing services division and all employees will remain with the company.
InforMed’s offering to clients includes market research, business analysis, consulting, medical writing, publication planning and sales training.
United Drug CEO Liam Fitzgerald (pictured) said: “We are delighted to announce the acquisition of InforMed. The acquisition significantly adds to our offering, both in the UK and the US, in the growing contract sales and marketing services division. InforMed has an excellent management team and I am delighted to welcome them to the group.”
InforMed’s owners will be in line for a further payouts of up to £5.9m if agreed profit targets are met over the next three years.
