UK — The winners of the third annual Kantar Information is Beautiful Awards were announced in London last night.
The awards celebrate “excellence and beauty in data visualisation” and represent a number of categories, including data visualisation, infographic design, interactive visualisation, motion infographic, tool and website.
The winners of those categories were:
Rappers, Sorted by Size of Vocabulary by Matthew Daniels
Creative Routines by RJ Andrews
The Refugee Project by Hyperakt and Ekene Ijeoma
NYC Taxis: A Day in the Life by Chris Whong
RAW by DensityDesign Research Lab
Selfiecity by Moritz Stefaner
Awards were judged by director of visualisation programme at the University of Miami, Alberto Cairo; creative director of Kantar, Aziz Cami; information designer Giorgia Lupi; writer and co-founder David McCandless; data designer Stefanie Posavec; creative partner of IIB Studio Duncan Swain; and FlowingData creator Nathan Yau.
