US— Oncology information supplier IntrinsiQ has acquired healthcare research agency WWMR for an undisclosed amount.
WWMR, which will keep its name and its offices in California, specialises in qual and quant research, market and product assessments, forecasts and economic analysis for the oncology sector. It also offers research and consulting services in other medical sectors and operates patient panels on chronic pain, cardiology and cystic fibrosis.
Mike Raquet, general manager of IntrinsiQ’s pharmaceutical information division, said: “As oncology treatment becomes more complex and specialised, the stakes get raised on pharmaceutical teams’ sizeable R&D investment. WWMR brings deep understanding and immediate access to doctors on the front line – the best way for pharmaceutical companies to affirm strategic directions sooner, and with greater assurances for ROI.”
WWMR founder and president Susan Olsen will become vice president of consulting services in IntrinsiQ’s pharmaceutical information division. She said: “This alignment is a perfect marriage because of our organisations’ shared mission of improving the quality and understanding of cancer care.”
