FRANCE— Ipsos has appointed Yannick Carriou as managing director for France, replacing Giorgio Caporusso who has left the company to join confectionery firm Ferrero Group in Italy.
Carriou (pictured) comes to Ipsos from TNS Sofres, where he had been managing director since 2006. He had been with the company for six years prior to that.
Ipsos co-president Jean-Marc Lech said: “The arrival of Yannick Carriou at Ipsos in France is a happy event. His mission is to reinforce our positions in our main markets – advertising, marketing, customer relationship management, media and public opinion research.”
Carriou’s predecessor Caporusso was appointed country manager for France in September 2008, having previously led Ipsos’s operations in Switzerland and Italy.
The nature of his new role at the Ferrero Group was unclear at the time of publication.
