UK — Ipsos MediaCT has announced the launch of a new data science unit.
The team, headed by chief data science officer Neil Farrer, brings together “a number of technical and methodological experts into one hub to focus on applications for the industry.” The intention is to make it easier to provide clients and researchers with optimum support and advice in technical and big data projects.
“The creation of this important team brings together statisticians, mathematicians, programmers and researchers enabling Ipsos MediaCT not only to respond effectively to our clients requirements but also to have a proactive voice in the industry and to set standards for best practice,” said Liz Landy, managing director of Ipsos MediaCT (pictured).
Initial focus for the team will be on data fusion techniques, analysing mobile and web usage data and integrating external and client data sets into standard applications.
