JAPAN — Ad group Hakuhodo and Tokyo Survey Research – part of the Hakuhodo group – have jointly acquired shares in Cimigo Holdings, a marketing and brand research agency.
The deal is designed to provide Hakuhodo’s clients with broader research and insight coverage in the Asia Pacific region, as Cimigo has offices in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Singapore, Macau and Vietnam.
From Cimigo’s perspective, managing partners Chris Farquhar and Richard Burrage (pictured left to right) said the Hakuhodo deal was the culmination of a process that explored partnerships with various interested parties.
According to Farquhar: “Hakuhodo’s deeply engrained philosophy of sei-katsu-sha insight, which is understanding the holistic person, an individual with a lifestyle, aspirations and dreams, is at the very heart of what Cimigo explores for clients. We believe it is a great fit.”
