UK— Kantar has appointed a new president for its Latin-American operations and a key client account director in the UK.
In Latin America, Marita Carballo joins as the firm’s president for the region, where she will focus on refining Kantar’s client offer in the area. Carballo was the founder and CEO of Gallup Argentina between 1979 and 2001 before moving to TNS, where she headed the political and social research division until 2007.
In the UK, Kantar has hired Fiona Keyte to take up the new role of global account director for Proctor & Gamble. She joins the firm from Publicis where she was director of strategy and acting head of the planning department and will now assume overall leadership of Kantar’s P&G account.
During her time at Publicis she worked on accounts with brands including Oral B, Vick’s and Pepto-Bismol.
Kantar chief executive Eric Salama (pictured) said: “P&G is one of our largest clients and works with most of our businesses. Fiona’s experience makes her an ideal candidate to help develop solutions which give P&G the best of Kantar.”
Of Carballo, Salama said: “We already have some strong businesses in LatAm and an important partnership with Ibope. it is a critical region of the world for us and I’m delighted that Marita will be dedicated to strengthening our position both through existing businesses and by introducing new services.”
