US— WPP-owned Kantar has bought a minority stake in Enprecis, an automotive industry data collection and analysis firm, for $1.2m.
The firm, which will be aligned with the automotive practice at TNS, was founded in 2006 and is based in Seattle. It employs 30 people and has offices in Paris and Shanghai. Its clients include major car manufacturers.
Gross assets stood at $686,000 in 2011.
TNS global automotive head Remy Pothet said: “Having worked closely with Enprecis for the last two years on a number of projects we already have an excellent working relationship.
“The combination of Enprecis’ unique collection and delivery platform, with TNS’s global network and portfolio of research solutions, will enable us to explore new and exciting business opportunities all over the world.”
