US— Kantar Media has appointed Jeffrey Boehme to the position of chief research officer for North America within the firm’s Audiences business division.
Boehme was previously at Nielsen where he was senior vice president for advanced TV, working on the firm’s return path data (RPD) and clickstream data offerings – securing relationships with RPD providers, acquiring and processing RPD data and developing advanced consumer metrics.
At Kantar, he will be responsible for liasing with industry associations and will support initiatives to identify and advance new RPD products and applications.
Kantar Media Audiences president George Shababb said: “RPD utilisation for emerging applications like addressable and interactive advertising, electronic programme guides, data overlays, media planning and ROI is evolving rapidly. Jeff is one of the leading thinkers and voices in RPD today. Having him join our senior management team allows us to continue to be at the forefront of strategic RPD insights and innovative developments.”
Prior to Nielsen, Boehme was senior vice president of research and marketing for National Cable Communications, director of research at National Cable Advertising and director of research at Seltel.
He has also held sales and audience measurement positions with broadcasters the NBC Television Network and Cap Cities/ABC.
