US— Michael Dimock is to take over as director of research at the Pew Research Centre for the People and the Press, replacing Andrew Kohut, who is stepping back to serve as founding director.
Dimock (pictured) has been at Pew for twelve years, where he co-authored some of the organisation’s “landmark” research reports, including an in-depth examination of American political and social values. Before joining Pew, he was political science professor at North Carolina State University.
Kohut, who will stay on to offer counsel to Pew, said: “Michael Dinock, who has worked closely with me for a dozen years, is a careful and incisive analyst who will ensure that the Pew Research Centre’s polls continue to provide comprehensive and accurate reporting of American public opinion.”
The Pew Research Centre is a think tank that provides information on the issues, attitudes and trends affecting the US.
