US— Millward Brown has appointed John Svendsen as senior vice president and global brand director within its Global Media Practice.
Svendsen comes to the firm from Aegis Media where he was insight director, and previously held research roles with Carat, Seagram and Black & Decker.
The appointment is the second of five global brand director roles that Millward Brown is creating, and Svendsen replaces Sue Elms who has been promoted to a new role in charge of the global brand management function.
Elms said: “It really is an exciting time for us, and to have an expert such as John join our team is fantastic news. I know he will help to drive even more success for the practice.”
The firm has also promoted James Galpin to head of the Media Practice in the AMAP (Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific) region, from his position as SVP of the Global Media Practice in London. He will be based in Shanghai.
