US— Mindshare North America has merged its research, analytics and business planning units under one organisational umbrella and appointed Doron Wesly to run the newly-named business science and planning unit.
Wesly (pictured) is responsible for a team of 25 and is tasked with overseeing customised research and analytics work for clients of Mindshare, a media and marketing services agency. He will also serve as chief liaison for all research as it applies to media plans and programmes.
Before Mindshare, Wesly was global media director for Cheil Worldwide, Samsung’s in-house ad agency, based in South Korea. He’s also a former VP of strategic services and marketing science for Millward Brown, and a past director of industry research for the Interactive Advertising Bureau.
Wesly will be based in New York and report to Mindshare North America boss Phil Cowdell.
Cowdell said: “Research and analytics are a major part of our agency’s DNA, both for existing clients and in new business pitches. Doron and his team will put us at the forefront of the industry in this critical area and play a key role in the future growth of our agency.”
