UK— Online survey firm OnePoll is looking to boost its international research capabilities ahead of a planned initial public offering next year.
The company says it is looking to float on the Alternative Investment Market in March 2010. Before then it wants to build up its panel coverage in Europe, Asia and the US.
OnePoll has more then 50,000 panellists registered in the UK and has recently launched recruitment sites in France, Italy, Germany and Spain and one targeting US consumers. Before the end of the month recruitment activity will also get underway in China and India, the firm said.
Head of research Kevin Smith (pictured) explained: “We decided to bolster our position in these countries as a response to customer demand – they are the most requested territories for market research.”
Smith said OnePoll is aiming to rival bigger competitors like YouGov, Toluna and Research Now.
The firm is perhaps best known for its news polls. It works for PR agencies including Pegasus PR, Red Consultancy and Ketchum, and has carried out projects direct for brands including Philips, Travelodge and Halifax.
