US— Ando Media, which measures audiences for online audio, has merged with Spacial Audio Solutions, which provides software for audio streaming and ad insertion.
The duo, who will continue to operate independently, said the deal will “help accelerate the development of the streaming audio marketplace”.
Ando Media CEO Bob Mancini (pictured) said: “This merger brings together the strength of Ando’s more terrestrial customer base with Spacial’s large internet-only base. Together, we are now working across the entire spectrum to drive the streaming audio category to new levels.”
Louis Louw, co-founder and chief technology offier at Spacial Audio, said: “We’ve been marching down a remarkably similar path to Ando, but our customers are not the same. That’s why this works so well. The complementary nature of our technologies will allow each company to offer expanded capabilities to our established customer bases.”
