US — Audience research firm Rentrak has signed a multi-year StationView Essentials contract with advertising agency Media Solutions.
Media Solutions says it will use Rentrak’s local TV ratings currency, including its Polk Automotive and Simmons Segmentation, to make more efficient and effective advertising buys for its TV advertising clients.
The deal includes the Sacramento, San Francisco and Los Angeles markets.
Partner and founder of Media Solutions, Carol Michael (pictured right, with co-founder Cynthia Metler), said: “We are excited to offer our clients a far more reliable and relevant source of TV audience viewing activity.
“We are also very excited to use Rentrak’s automotive purchaser ratings as a way to more effectively understand the value of the programming environments that we place our auto ad inventory in.”
