SPAIN — Tweet Category has launched an app to analyse hashtag conversations to build a picture of the topic areas that people are discussing on Twitter.
The Spanish start-up is looking to target professional tweeters such as events organisers, community managers, and social and mainstream media experts.
The service comes as an iPad app that offers content curation – placing tweets in specific categories – and provides statistics on who’s tweeting, how frequently and how many impressions each tweet generates.
“Companies that measure the impact of their actions or clients on Twitter will be a step ahead of their competitors,” says Tweet Category CEO Javier Abrego
The company launched in September with investment from capital risk institution Sodena and entrepreneurial venture capital fund Enisa. It’s now approaching 1,000 users in more than 25 countries, with the majority of customers based in the UK, US, Spain and Singapore.

Already using it, very cool reports. I sent an email to tweet category because they should add in the next update a web system so we can share the results of a campaign on twitter easily. Cool app and cool reports.
