US — Spectral Capital Corporation has purchased a minority stake in big data analytics company kontexto.
Launched in 2009, kontexto offers software and services that acquire, analyse and visualise real-time data for companies and institutions and has developed two products based on their proprietary analysis: publishflow and monitr. The company counts The Daily Mail, The Guardian and Getty Images among their publishing clients.
“Big data analysis and information management is a growing market and reaches every industry and market in the world,” said Spectral’s CEO Jenifer Osterwalder. “We believe in kontexto’s vision and long-term growth prospect and are currently in talks to increase our stake holdings.”
Spectral, which invests in early-stage technology companies, has bought 8% of the issued and outstanding shares of kontexto from majority owner Sargas Capital through a share and warrant exchange.
