US— M&C Saatchi has hired Sveta Doucet as chief strategy officer. She will work out of the agency’s New York office and will be tasked with overseeing all strategic insights for the advertising giant’s US clients.
Doucet (pictured) will officially start in November, and will report to New York CEO Jeff Brooks. She joins Pierre Lipton, chief creative officer, who started last month after working as executive creative director of AKQA San Francisco.
Doucet was previously head of strategy at digital agency Profero where she worked with clients including Smirnoff, Lufthansa, Western Union and TREsemme. She has also worked as a public policy writer with the New America Foundation.
Brooks said: “Sveta is the complete package. She’s fiercely intelligent, brand-centric, digitally savvy and highly entrepreneurial.”
