US — Instant polling app Thumb has merged with research insights company Ypulse as the company looks to increase its millennials coverage
Originally known as Opinionated, Thumb rebranded in 2011 and Ypulse said that with an expanded team, it would leverage Thumb’s mobile social network and feedback platform to deliver consumer immediacy helping youth-oriented marketers and communicators to get youth insights.
“We founded the company on the insight that social media could connect us with youth opinion and mobile usage has since come to dominate the online behaviour of millennials,” said Dan Coates, co-founder and president of Ypulse. “Our goal is to work closely with Dan Kurani [Thumb founder] and his team to aggressively pivot toward mobile. Enabling our clients to connect with young consumers at the ‘feedback moment’, wherever and whenever that may occur.”
