DENMARK— The Danish TV audience measurement steering committee has extended its contract with TNS Gallup by three years, meaning the firm will carry on reporting audience figures until the end of 2015.
TNS Gallup, which is part of Kantar Media, has been working on the contract since 2008. It was due to end next year until the extension was awarded.
Mette Lehrmann, research manager at TV2 and head of the TV-Meter steering committee, said: “The high quality of TNS Gallup/Kantar Media’s measurement of actual television set viewing via home televisions and the assurance of a continuous supply of high quality figures were key factors to the extension of the contract.”
The TV-Meter steering committee is made up of members of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), TV2, Viasat, SBS, Discovery, Turner and MTV.
