ISRAEL— The Israeli Audience Research Board (IARB) has renewed TNS Telegal’s contract to run the country’s television audience measurement service.
TNS Telegal, TNS’s syndicated Israeli research division, beat one other bidder to scoop the five-year contract, which it has been running since its inception in 1998.
Alongside TNS Media Research, TNS Telegal will measure TV viewing through the existing panel of 580 households, using the TNS series 5000 PeopleMeter.
Eitan Kassif (pictured), managing director at TNS Telegal, said: “When the new service commences next year it will have some significant enhancements. This includes a shift from the current picture-matching to enhanced audio-matching technology. This development will allow the IARB to understand the changing television environment, including the measurement of interactive services and non-linear viewing.”
