POLAND — Mobile analytics firm Heatma.ps has emerged from beta with software that allows application designers to monitor touch-based interactions with their app.
Founder Cyprian Cieckiewicz stresses that his software differs from other analytics tools on the market in that tracking isn’t solely based on actions and clicks.
Apps carrying the Heatma.ps code can record where people touch first, what gestures they make and how far they scroll down, as well as device orientation.
Cieckiewicz believes this sort of information “is particularly valuable when it comes to design – one of the most important aspects to consider when creative effective applications”.
Heatma.ps has received $400,000 in seed funding from private investors to take it beyond beta.
Its launch follows that of Pathmapp in September, which provides A/B testing for app developers with results presented in the form of heatmaps that show where people touch and swipe.
