Gold award winner Watson (pictured, left) is insights and research advisor in the global customer insights organisation at FedEx, leading research efforts with a focus on customer-centric innovation and design initiatives.

Watson is also a 2024 graduate of the McKinsey & Co. black management leadership accelerator programme hosted by the FedEx Black Professional Network, holds the position of DEI delegate within her organisation, and is a member of the Professional Insights Collaborative run by Quirk’s.

This year’s silver award winner, Santos (pictured, right), is a marketing strategist and co-founder of Equitas Insight, a consultancy that aims to advance DEI in the workplace. She helped to create and launch the Insights Association’s IDEAtor programme, managed through the Idea Council.

WIRe partnered with the Insights Association and Fuel+ Focus Room to announce the winners of the diversity champion award at the Corporate Researchers Conference (CRC) in New York last week.

Tiffany Hays, founder, Fuel, said: “Embracing a more vibrant and inclusive market research industry continues to be of paramount importance. As the world becomes increasingly multifaceted, our industry must embrace change actively; the winners of WIRe’s MRX diversity champion award are ideal examples of the change we need to see.”
