US – Analytics platform Heatmap has closed a $4m seed funding round to help grow the business and release an artificial intelligence (AI) model.
The Heatmap team will use the seed capital to hone product functionality like web analytics, build integrations with leading marketing technology platforms and expand its workforce.
Investment in Heatmap’s seed round was led by Eric Reiner, founder and managing partner at Vine Ventures, followed by Erik Huberman at Hawke Ventures, Pari Passu Venture Partners, Mu Ventures and El Cap.
The latest investors join others including Codie Sanchez at Contrarian Thinking Capital, Power One Capital and Quikr.
The AI model that will be released is custom built and will deliver direct recommendations for website improvements to clients.
Heatmap founder and chief executive officer Dylan Ander said: “Clicks don’t pay the bills, so we built Heatmap. It lets marketers optimise for revenue. And since marketers also need to know ‘what to do next’, we built our AI prediction engine to provide specific website improvements that drive higher revenue per session.”
